Sample Tour Program:
Day 1, —Your trip
begins when you are met at the Bologna airport or train station and
transferred to your hotel in Bologna, a town well known for its great food
and the location of the oldest university in Europe. You will go on a late
afternoon guided walking tour of the city center, which will be followed
by dinner of local specialties and typical wines. We will take you back to
your hotel for your overnight stay. D
Day 2, —Start your day with buffet breakfast in the hotel and
then join the group for a visit to the countryside surrounding Bologna.
The day will include going to a winery for a tour and tasting and visiting
a dairy to observe the making of Parmigiano Reggiano. Lunch and dinner
will be included on this day tour of the Emilia Romagna region. We will
return to the hotel for our overnight stay. B,L,D
Day 3, —Enjoy breakfast in the hotel, followed by a cooking
class and lunch. After lunch, we will transfer via train to Siena in the
heart of Tuscany. We will be met in Siena and driven to Dievole, a winery
whose history began over nine hundred years ago. We will be treated to a
tour and tasting in Dievole’s Cellars and then enjoy dinner at Tavolo dei
Maestri di Vigna. Our overnight will be at the very peaceful Villa Dievole.

 Day
4, —Enjoy Dievole’s farmer-style buffet breakfast, which is
served in the old stables. Later in the morning, you are invited to attend
a cooking class at Dievole which will be followed by lunch. In the
afternoon, we will explore Siena. As you shop and experience Siena’s
Gothic architecture, be on the lookout for a place for dinner, which will
be on your own this evening. We will transfer back to Dievole for the
night. B,L
Day 5, —Start your day with Dievole’s delicious buffet spread.
Today we will visit one of Tuscany’s most respected wineries, known for
producing award-winning wines. We will drive through the beautiful
countryside and enjoy a leisurely day of food and wine. We will return to
Villa Dievole for our last night in Chianti Classico. B,L
Day 6, —Begin your day with breakfast and then join the group
for a walk on the percorso-vita, a fitness trail that allows you to enjoy
the rich colors of Dievole’s landscape. We will then take the train to
Florence and be transferred to Marignolle Relais and Charme, your “home”
for the remainder of the trip. Take time to explore your surroundings. The
property was that of a farmer’s and was purchased and beautifully
restored. Now the relais sits inside the garden of a private home, giving
it that “home” feeling. The afternoon is yours to relax at the relais or
to take a taxi to Firenze and explore. Early evening, Lorenzo will teach
us the secrets of making Italian Pizza. We’ll enjoy wine with the pizzas
we’ve created in their authentic outdoor wood fire oven. Once you are
fully satisfied, you can return to your room just a few steps away. B,D
Day 7, —Enjoy a fulfilling breakfast at the relais before we
head off to Chianti Classico for a full day of wine tasting. We will enjoy
lunch of typical products produced in Chianti. We will also visit a hidden
medieval village in the heart of Chianti. Before returning to the relais
for the evening, we will stop at Bibe and enjoy a scrumptious meal made
with fresh, local ingredients. B,L,D
Day 8, — You’ll smile contentedly as you enjoy breakfast on
the last day of your tour. We will say our “ciaos” and transfer you to
Florence for your departure home or your extended stay. B

signed release form are required to secure your place on the tour.
In the event the exchange rate of the euro to dollar is above 1.25 at the
time of departure, Tours with Taste has the right to adjust the price
accordingly. *Deposit is refundable only in the event the minimum number
